Students Recognise Quality Teaching
The latest qualitative data from the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) has seen a large number of the Faculty’s academic staff being recognised for the quality of their teaching. Completed by graduating undergraduate and postgraduate students, the questionnaire provides them with an opportunity to reflect upon their entire degree. The CEQ has a number of quantitative questions, plus two open-ended qualitative questions. One of these questions asks students what they found to be the 'Best Aspect' of their degree. In a number of cases, the respondents identified a member of the Faculty’s academic staff as the 'Best Aspect' of their time at UNSW. This is high praise indeed, and the Faculty is pleased to recognise these outstanding teachers:
- Debra Aarons (Linguistics) — twice mentioned
- Peter Alexander (English)
- Eileen Baldry (Social Work)
- Kerry Barnett (Education)
- Roger Bell (History)
